Biodynamic Massage

Hilary Price

This gentle way of working encourages and supports your natural processes of self-regulation, dissolving tension and promoting the flow of your vital energy.

Gerda Boyesen, the Norwegian-born psychologist and physiotherapist who developed Biodynamic Massage Therapy, acknowledged the connection between body and mind and made the important discovery that the gut is active in eliminating residual stress and tension from both.

For this reason we use a stethoscope placed on your abdomen to monitor peristaltic (“tummy rumbling”) sounds during the course of the massage.

Using this real-time biofeedback as a guide, we are be able to work with you - not on you – and each massage will be uniquely responsive to your needs at the time.

You may choose to remain fully or partly clothed during Biodynamic Massage Therapy, as no oils are used.
